Lanette grew up in Montana and moved to Jackson Hole in 1976 to work as the secretary for the assistant superintendent of the National Park Service. She obtained her real estate license in 1986, when she was working for Jackson Hole Realty, which was acquired by Sotheby's International Realty in 2003. During her years with Jackson Hole Realty, Lanette was a secretary, sales agent, office manager, assistant, responsible broker, and an associate broker working with her husband Scott. In 2011 she and her business partner, Ryan Wright, started a small property rental company that they are anxious to grow with the influence of Re/Max Obsidian and she is excited to be back in the real estate sales arena again.

Over the years, she has watched Jackson Hole grow but never lose its old-fashioned charm, small-town feel and sense of community.
